The sidecar in its original condition
Before it was used in the film, the sidecar was originally owned by Allan Levinson:
"I had it on my Yamaha 650 Special but didn't like it as I found it hard to get used to, so I advertised it for sale in 1981 (I lived in Double Bay, Sydney then). The guy that came around introduced himself as the props buyer for Mad Max 2, and that it would be in the movie. However you can't really recognise it as they must have taken the fibreglass body off and modified it with a platform someone could stand on. Unfortunately I only have the one photo (enclosed), hope you like it."
