Best Buy Recommendation
Get the Japanese Mad Max 2 / Road Warrior DVD if you can find it - It includes the film itself in widescreen, plus a trailer and the 6 minute Chase Continues making of documentary. Apart from the Japanese Mad Max 2 DVD (pictured left, from the Japanese Mad Max DVD box set), it is a tie between the US Road Warrior DVD (pictured right), which is higher quality than VHS, but only the trailer as a bonus, and the Special Edition Road Warrior VHS, which is lower quality than a DVD release, but it includes the 6 minute Japanese Chase Continues making of documentary.
The version with the most features for each format, if there is a "best" version, is highlighted in yellow. Note that this doesn't necessarily mean that the highlighted version is available.

- The Australian PAL Mad Max DVD version should be identical to the
European PAL Mad Max DVD version. However, there is apparently a censored
version being distributed in some European countries, although I still
don't have all that information.
- The Road Warrior "Lost" version is a network TV only version, those
scenes are not available on any commercial release. See the "Lost
