As well as the "not quite official" interceptor model kit, another option which is open to hard core modellers and Mad Max fans is to actually scratch build your own models from parts out of other kits. And this is exactly what David Giovannini has done - creating a 1/25th scale replica of the tanker chase sequence from the Road Warrior! What can I say, I'm impressed!
It is 9 feet by 3 feet, and has taken 8 years and about $500 to complete. The following three pictures show the entire reconstructed convoy, from start to finish.
