I had the first morning shift this morning so, I had to go to bed early (normally between 9pm and 9:30pm) to get up at 4am. But the premiere screening at the local cinema of Furiosa was yesterday evening from 8pm til 10:30pm. The hell with it, I'll see if I can sleep in at work

It's a marvelous film. Very well made. What I said earlier about Hemsworth not that convincing in portraying the role of Dementus, makes sense now. Dementus is a character that has not full authority over his people. There are parts where you can see his weakness.
There were a few CGI parts that were not that realistic, but most of it was very good. Most of the scenes are practical stunts anyway.
But I have to say it comes right after Fury Road. For me, that one is still a bit better than Furiosa.

I'll say the thing too about Dementus is that, to me, he felt like a guy consciously playing a character - except, as we see throughout the film, that over the top brutality is killing him inside. He's a guy making himself big and terrible out of hurt, and failing at it because he really just wants back what he'd lost.

I fear that Furiosa will be another 'Babe: Pig in the City' where, in spite of critical acclaim, it massively under-performs at the box office primarily because word of mouth is saying that it's very different from its beloved predecessor.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing it on Saturday.
