Great, I'm glad the boys from MAAC made fuss over ya's, they're a sound bunch of blokes, they made a big fuss of anyone who travelled to the show Image the local car clubs are raving about it.

The 'ceptor went down a storm Adrian, Spoke to mate in the Mini club who saw the 'ceptor, he said it was drawing a huge crowd, then asked if he could borrow my MM dvd Image

I'm still up for the Keswick meet, Screw it's not leaving England (yet) but you never know....

BTW Adrian, now that you mention it, the landscape in 'the midlands' does looks a lot like the MM locations... can't wait to see the video.

Thanks guy's,

Yeah, Kieran and Joe from the MAAC have to be two of the nicest guys i've met, hopefully try and pull a few more from over here for next year.

John has very little to do to finish his off so i'm still confident we can still all meet at keswick, i'm expecting an e-mail from him any minute as he should have landed home by now but will hopefully be able to work something out.

Screwy, check out the MAAC link further up this thread that john posted, i think the best photos will appear on there shortly.

Once i've got the video i'll ask john if there's some way of putting it online via a link.

Hi Rockatansky

Yeh, Image thaught it was damn good, first time seeing it, very funny and well put together!!!! (the docu not the car!!). Thaught them finding the moat jump car was good too, it was even missing the lights from the roof (hahaha wonder where they went??)

How long does it take you to put one of those models together? Must take feckin ages?

Billy, kinda used to weather like that, Scotland gets rain too!! It was the ferry crossing that bothered me the most! I dont think i have sea legs, or stomach for that matter.

I didnt get a photo of the Interceptor on the ferry =( never even entered my head to get one. Took too many of your beautiful country! LOL!! Next year. Once i get them developed i'll see if there's anything good worth posting.

Yeah, i always wonderd why PETER never mentioned the VALIANTS whereabouts on the MAD MAX FAQ, he coulda gotten a screengrab and all.

when i first started models (mostly ALIEN and PREDATOR's) i used to bloody take months, cause i'd f**k around with research, i'm such a cock, i need the damn creature or vehicle to look so much like it does in the move, that you've gotta think it was actually used in the movie.

The INTERCEPTOR's were about 2 months, in particular PART 2's, i was caught between trying to savour it, casue once it was done, it was done, ya know, and getting the damn thing done, and ready for the display cases. plus i only had crappy Ex rentals to research from, all dark and grainy, couldn't tell what the hell was in the back of that damn INTERCEPTOR 2. thats why i'm taking my time with the unfinished CAVALIER kits, i got DVD's now and ZOOM.Image

But that was 4 years ago. Now the average HELLRAISER model i can do in 2 days, cause I pick a day where i'm off work, and its HER turn to pick the kids up from school, i start at 8.00 that morning, skip meals and don't rest till its done - plus i got FANGORIA magazine sitting close by for detail, he he. don't have to bugger about with the movies.

though i did a TERMINATOR. T- 1000. in one 17 or 18 hour stretch, pretty simple, had one hell of a headache after it though.

Yeh, i know a bit odd.

It musta taken ages to get the skin right on the predators, bloody hell man the DO look like they were used in the movie! Know how you feel about getting things 100% right, i'm like that with my car , ask Adrian!! DVD is a godsend for stuff now.

Cant believe you do one of the Hellraisers in 2 days! take me a month anyway! They are bloody great too, everything is great!

I stumbled across a web site a few weeks ago offering a 1:1 scale endoskeleton, it was good too, always been a dream of mine to have one standing guard in the corner of my room, there were no prices though, i suppose it was a case of if you need to ask how much you cant afford it. If i find the address again i'll post it for ya to see

You got any of the HELLRAISER's 2050? CHATTERER was the easiest, its his damn head that takes the time, other than that its all different tones of black leather, was a prick to stand though, like most vinyl models of that size, his feet tend to 'stick' together, no matter how hot i make that hairdryer, him , and T 1000 floated back into place, so had to make those little bases, hammer nails into the bases, punch holes in the feet, and make 'em stand how i want.

I always wanted that ENDOSKELETON, he pops up on EBAY from time to time, unfortunately i started amking models real late (late 98') so i missed out on all the HORIZON, HALCYON, and SCREAMIN' kits being in shops, i had to order most, of them
