A somewhat naive question from a new visitor-Are there any replicas in the UK?
I've seen one un-modded (red) XB in the UK, but never an Interceptor (except the Cars Of The Stars Interceptor. Come to think of it, that car is THE car to see for fans of the movies).
Forgive another naive query-every XB i've seen has the round headlights-did the movie car have a Fairmont front-end? If i take the plunge and start bulding an Interceptor, am i going to have to sort out a car with the wrong headlights? Round headlights are bollocks.

Ill let Adrian handle the details of the big YES!! to are their replicas in the U.K.
The Moive XB had Headlight buckets etc from I think an XC, but other suitable substitutes are definaely possible. The "Front end" however is a fiberglass aftermarket part (See the building a replica section).

Mine doesn't come out very often, although i'm over at a show in Ireland next weekend with it, madmax2050 is also coming along for the ride, he's just about finished his outstanding Big Bopper replica, unfortunately not in time for the show.
If you check out the replica cars section on this site it's in there somewhere.
You're right MFP1, i swapped the round lights for some similar to the XC i got from a VW LT van, there slightly smaller but you hardly see them behind the lenses.

Both Adrians and madmax2050's replicas look brilliant on the photos, keep up the good work.

You should head down Screw, it's only about a 2/3 hour drive from Lisburn (you're fine till you get to Dublin but as ye know once you get on to Irish B roads the journey takes forever!

There's loads of car clubs from the North headin down so it'll be great craic.
I'm workin this Saturday so I'll be in Dublin anyway so plan to head down on Sunday.

Do you catch any of the Ulster rally over the weekend?
Was helping with the Comm's when it all went off, the reigning tarmac champion caught cheating.

On Thursday night he was caught on a side road coming off a stage (7) by one of the top marshals..... ...they stopped practically outside his house.
