OK, Here we go. First I just want to say thank you to all the people that have viewed my post and pics. I appreciate the comments and good will. Second, just to clarify my position, I never intended to make production runs of my mold. It was built for my enjoyment alone. I also want to say that any more than 2 fairings out of my molds is a bonus since I only put the effort into them knowing that it would be a limmited run. Any more fairings that anyone would want to buy from me will be built and sold as a favor to a fellow mad max fan rather than as a money maker. I spend way too much time on these to make any money. Resin is expensive and so is my time. Third, I enjoy making these fairings and I hope that anyone who wants one will be happy with it. I am not a professional mold maker or composite fabricator. I never claimed to be. I never claimed to be working out of my back yard either. For the record, I work out of my garage. I have a B.S. degree from Iowa State University in Industrial Technology, so I do have a little bit of knowledge of these things. I do the best I can. Fourth, if you want a fairing from me, just ask. I will try my best to make one for you. Please be patient as my time is extremely limmited. Plan on me taking 3 weekends to get it done. One to prep - spray - and lay up, the second to pull out the fairing and rough trim, the third to make up for lost time and shipping.

HI guys;

Here is an update of the dashboard as it is mounted on the bike. I decided to keep the full dash for a radio sometime in the future.

Is the wind shield vacuformed or otherwise custom made?

The whole deal looks pretty darn nice!

I do some resin casting myself, and I'm not certain how great a difference there
is between standard hobby resin casting and fiberglass resin casting, but you
could add Aluminum powder to your mould before you pour the resin beauty coat,
and/or add it to the resin itself. That will give you (after mixing) a pretty
decent silver base that can be "shined" with a fine grade steel wool.

It does of course add a bit more work into the recipe.

Just an idea anyway. :)

Good work!

Russ
