This is the movie that used to be called 'How I Spent My Summer Vacation".

Oddly enough, it's not being released theatrically here in the States (however, it gets a theatrical release in Australia). Rather, it's going straight to video on demand starting May 1. A few promotional theatrical screenings will be held leading up to that date, one of which will be held in Austin, TX. It will feature a Q&A with Mel presided over by Harry Knowles, founder of Aint It Cool News. Story at the link.

Had a good laugh with the trailer. I sure want to see this movie. Typical Gibson humor.

saw this tonight at the cinema ... how i spent my summer vacation as its known in the uk ... okay im a max fan ... the film was rock solid and gibson was 100% throughout ... interestingly the screening was well attended with more than a few forty-something well-maintained ladies occupying the seats

I just watched it on DVD at home. It is a damn good movie with the typical Gibson humor. This absolutely reminds me of Air America and Payback. This is the real Mel Gibson acting an humor.

He is a great actor, and if he got himself into shape he could do MM4 - a proper MM4 not some fricking happy feet CGI'd waterworld version (mustnt grumble...).

I couldnt give a bugger about his views on anything - i look at the art, not the artist.

tightest sharpest film ive seen this year ... the raid a close second sadly let down by a few too many stock martial arts scenes ... get the gringo/summer vacation was flawless unpretentious cinema

Isn't that the sign you are done for (as an actor)?

"Our movies are so good, they skip the theater and go straight to DVD!!" - the movie producer in 'Young Einstein'
