That sequence of Goose on his bike (before he comes off) seemed a little short compared to when I saw the film last. Would anyone agree? Perhaps they cut a few shots out. Regardess, it's a great montage of shots - really feels like you are there riding on that bike at high speed.

I don't ever remember Mad Max 1 ever being shown here in Australia on TV, I might be wrong, I always thought of it as never being able to be shown on TV because of it's "R" rating, GO advertised it as "MA" maybe it should be re rated on the DVD/Blu-ray release, I couldn't see anything being cut out, so in the year 2011 the "R" rating is too extreme, can anybody remember it being shown on TV here in Australia? Peter??

MadMax series has appeared at least once a year on aussie TV for a very long time......

Last time it was on was late last year and they showed all 3 films over 3 weeks. Pretty sure it was GO then.

There is no "R" rating for TV.... only MA.
Ratings for TV/ film changed nearly 10yrs ago.

In Australia? which channel? I think I remember 2 or 3 being shown over the years, just like Back to the Future, they only seem to play number 2 all the time.

On which channel????

Er... sorry in the past 20 or so yrs i havent kept a list.

MadMax has even been shown as the midday sunday movie on a number of occasions.

Back to future the same deal.. usually show all 3 movies over a 3 week period.

Few weeks ago they showed BBTF2 and 3 one nite one after the other.
