Is that por-15, or bedliner on the floor? K-5's are indestructable, as long as they don't rust away. You have a lot of options, and can get nearly anythign for them. I saw one a few years before the internet, and it had an external rollcage, but it was square tubing, with diamond shaped spikes all over it. Looked pretty menacing.

everyone seems to go the 'flat black' way.....go with the gloss/flat like the movie car. It'll grab tons of attention that way. I'm always getting positive comments about the paint scheme on my coupe and people are always surprised to hear that the actual car was done that way

its bedliner...... its called herculiner..... the interior was kinda trashed when I got it, so I gutted it except for the dash, seats, door panels, kick panels, console.... I have also replaced the seat with ones from a suburban ( blue).... the only door panels I could find were dark red.... didnt have much rust, only found a few small hole in the floor, the biggest of the holes was about the size of a quarter...i have owned it since 2006, it was totalled in 2009 after being rear ended....its was still drivable afterwards had to rebuild the rear suspension and replace the steering box along with some other stuff. the only body parts I replaced was the rear bumper and a marker light( hammered out the damaged sheetmetal). i have been rebuilding it since then as money allows, alot of stuff I got used off craigslist or from junkyards.... friend of mine has an 87 with 1 ton axles, a 205 transfer case and a th400....

I plan on doing a project vehicle with the shortbed pickup version of about the same year. It would be an MFP "recovery"
vehicle like the Highway Patrol guys use. I was thinking a dark police car blue, it could be just the shadow of it's former use
as a cop car worked over into a marauder vehicle. You have a clean slate to work with. Please post your in progress pics as you go.
