That one looks a little too bronze-colored for an MFP officer, but maybe it's just a bad pic. Other than the color, it's exactly like the one I have for my MFP uniform. Good find!

But the nameplate Max has in The Road Warrior is all one color, as in the letters arent filled in with black or anything. I think it might be a little thinner, too.

Max Replica found someone who can make dead-on nameplates like the one Max wore in Mad Max 2/The Road Warrior. I can't seem to find that thread, though.

They come in gold or silver, I suppose you could order it without filled letters/ numbers, I kinda like the filled though.
If I knew we already had a source I'd have supported one of our members ;)

That plate looks great. Jared was looking for some small size rivets that do not crowd the numbers but was having little success.

Hi guys, I just found this thread.
For rivets, I finally ended up finding some that I think are just the right size (within a millimeter anyway). They are about 5 or 6mm wide.
Here they are on my jacket (with one of John's plates):

In looking at mine again compared with some screenshots, I still think my plate could be about a millimeter or two wider and thinner and the rivets maybe 1mm smaller. But that's splitting hairs a bit too much, even for me. I think the plate I have now is as close as anyone has ever gotten. And I can live with that. : )

Good to see that you aren't obsessing over a millimeter or two! I was about to get worried...

It's okay, I got them at a place here in LA called Saderma (they're a shoe repair supply place and they often have different things than the usual stuff from Tandy et al.) and I can always get more if I need them.

And Humvee --- :D
