Total waste of money to buy and fix up...
Having seen a "softtop" conversion on an XB up close, i found it to be completely hideous.
The coupe body is not a design that fairs well when the conversion is done, its just looks ugly.
Its even uglier when the rag top is up.
Plus the car looses so much rigidity that its not funny.
Coupes or sedans of that era flex like buggery when its roof is there and as part of the conversion large box steel chassis rails need to be added to the floor pan.
This stops the floor sagging, but doesnt stop the excessive body twist.
Anyone who chops the roof off a coupe needs their head read....

That things a piece of shit! 10 grand????,the Aussie who owns that car must get some good Seppo crack shipped to him to smoke! Things been bondo'd heavily and is sitting in the damn woods and is prob fuuull of vermin too. And lopping off the roof on a UNIBODIED car shortdicked the structural integrity of the car BIGTIME!!!!

Hard to believe someone would butcher a good landau like that. Sort of sad actually. Maybe its a nice custom, but it still looks brutalized to me.
