There is a crossing exhaust, but it is not movie correct.
What is out there is combining cylinders 1&4, 2&3 for it's 4 into 2.
(considering the firing order, this is probably a superior solution from an engineering perspective, but it is not movie correct)

The film used 1&3, 2&4 so that only the inner 2 pipes crossed.

I have not been able to find any commercially available system that is movie correct for 15 years.

However, there is a great z-bike community in Germany, so you may be able to find micro-market stuff that I can't here in the US.

If you do find one, please let us know!

I am planning to make my own, fwiw.

Cheers!

Hi BOZZ,
..yes, i know about our Z-szene ,....i ride that beautyfull bikes longer than 33 years now,
and, like you, i still havn´t found that kind ( movie-correct or the other one ) of exhaust system...!!..So, after a time passed now, i`ve tried to search again...but...no solution in sight....seems like, i must do it by myself......own a few headder-pipes from an old 4-1.. ;) ...But If you find out there in the States a system, the old Jardin would be OK for me also, please let me also know....if i can find another solution, i will leave here an message also!
Cheers also to N.C. !!!

This is my Bubba replica.
KOUJI of my friend made this EX.
This is original EX of z1000.
He cut and tied it.

Hey babasan,

what a great Bubba Zanetti replica you own! I had myself a z 1000 some couple of years ago and I gave it the Johnny, Starbuck, Cundalini, Clunk treatment. Means: with a Ducati SS 900-like fairing. Nice ride dude, I envy you! 8-)
I could probably make it on my own, but I like you kids.

Thank you.
I made a replica of Clunk five years ago.
It is cross EX to attach to this z1000.
