I just started on the "Force 10" Charger from The Road Warrior, my starting point is an AMT 71 Duster.

looking pretty good actually, yes the rear is long, but only because the charger is stubby. the slant six will look good, but not correct (slant was phased out by then). There are continuity errors with this car, so you have two ways to paint it. one is just the red stripe all along the side, or with the 'Force 10' logo on the door.
I built mine from a Valiant Charger model. lemme know if you want me to post pix.

Both The OZ Charger and the Duster/Demon/Dart/Valiant were based form the same platform.A body I believe.

I already cut a section ot of the rear end -about the width of the gas cap, I also junked my original roof idea & started on a new one. Since there are more pics of it that way, I'm thinking of painting it the same as yours.

It's always a huge challenge to convert one car type into another. Looks like a great start.

the roof/trunk is done!.... well the structural part is, still needs some filler work & a little tweaking to get the interior to fit under it. until I can hit Menard's & get some filler, I'm working on the interior, I've already modified the door panels & back seat, & started on the dash, now I'm trying to get rid of the shifter hump on the driver's side.

I don't know if I'd remove the tunnel extension on the driver's side. Someone more versed in Aussie Mopars please correct me if I'm wrong, but was the standard 4-speed tranny used a New Process A-833 like in the US cars? If so, I've never heard of a 'mirror-image' 833 where the shifter location and the side controls are on the right side. Unless it's a different type of internal rail tranny, you will need to have the extension.

I already cut it out & patched it, not my best work but for what little you see of it, it won't matter, it might not be correct or clear the tranny but having the shifter on the wrong side of the trans would look wierd to me, bad enough the floor mat's still there... maybe I shoud cut that out too, it'd give me a chance to re-do the pacth on the trans tunnel....

I think the trans on the Deora engine is an auto... but because it's smaller/shorter than the duster's I might have to swap it out for a manual.
