Does anybody have a better idea of what type of face guard Goose wore in MM1? I DO know it's a face guard a batter would wear in baseball. I just don't know what model. I've found some that are very similar but not any QUITE like his.

Details on the face guard:
"Tony D. face fender"
From a company called Full House in Cornwells Heights, PA USA
Circa 1975
I have detailed pics as well if you'd like.
Cheers!

Andy, we've identified it as a motocross face guard. I took a look at some batter guards online, but noticed they ALL have a lot of ventilation due to the fact that all they're designed to guard against is baseballs.

Bozz is correct here in identifying one of the brand names that these guards were sold under. I also own a Tony D. Face Fender by Full House. However, I believe the design was also sold through other companies and brand names.
A couple of years ago, a guy named Dan started making very good fiberglass copies. You can see photos on this thread:

We always called it an "Iron Jaw." For what that's worth.

ahh... I kept wondering. I had a friend tell me it was used in baseball as a face guard. DOH! Thanks for pointing that out!
