If you want to drop me a line directly, I'd be happy to advertise this on the front page of the site for you.

If you can't get what you're asking (and you're in no hurry to sell), I'd be inclined to hold on for a bit. There's not necessarily as many buyers around at the moment due to the recession, and with the new film around the corner, you'd expect interest to increase there as well. Not a guarantee, but if you're in no hurry, might be worth holding out ($40K seems relatively cheap for a finished car these days, if you ask me).

Thanks for the compliments, you are right Peter the intrest may increase after the 4th movie comes out and is actually a good one too. Due to family and coworker protest i may not sell the car afterall. My wife made a good point and said sure you could sell and have the money but the car will be gone. May be harder if not imposible to get another. I would like to have the car on the list of replica cars on this site it would be an honor to me... i have many good pics of the car up to date.

Would love to put the car into the list - I know I am missing a few at this point, and a few have changed hands also. I used to be able to keep track of them all, but there are a few too many now!

Fire me an email through the "Contact" link on the main page of the site (near the top left). I'll respond back with an address to send any pics & info to.

It is sad cars like this command $40.000 dollars to own. They are not worth that much, not to the sane person...

But to fans, the only people crazy enough to become a caretaker... It's a damn interceptor, and like Peter said in his post -> $40.000 is nothing in the Mad Max BOB replica territory. Mad Max Cars.com still has $35.000 as the low ball price. But I doubt they can deliver something for that money. Not with the cash the rotting XB shells (and XA-XC's) are commanding these days. You either have one as the common man, or (like me) will never have one. 40 grand is just not justifiable anymore. If you make 80k a year that might be different. But then you're not a common man anymore imho.

Hold on to it, because you will never have one again.

Locally you won't buy a decent non rusted coupe for less than $15K to $20K these days. So $40K for a replica is nothing at this point, providing the condition is good.

That's not to say that the prices will always hold up at this level, but I wouldn't anticipate them dropping much at all in the forseeable future. And who knows what a 4th film might do to the prices.

You know exactly what they will do to the prices. They will hyper inflate, and that's when you need to sell. It's like the housing boom. It'll pop and adjust downward to the lesser insane price after the novelty wears off, but if you where going to sell it, wait till after the movie came out for that once in a lifetime offer from some rich schmuck. Bad thing is the car will most likely not end up in the right hands, but when money is the objective one should not care.

Well i do care alot about the car and i would opitimisticaly figuer that someone with the intrest enough to shell out the money for it would take care of it too. But i know this is not always the case. Ironicaly when i purchased/built the car i made less than 40k a year! I make less than 60k now! I know Muscle cars in general should not cost so much but i would be a fool to give it away too...wouldent you guys agree if you were (some are) in my shoes? I really think im going to keep it forever unless like the Godfather says Makes me an offer i cant refuse. LOL
