Re: RIP BONDS
Real sorry to hear it.
But you must have missed the updates to my other posts - I am happy to report that I HAVE found my long-searched for blue shirt (2 of them in fact, with one currently on eBay).
I also just bought a couple more black Bonds for my Road Warrior costume (bought 2 just to make sure I get the bleaching done exactly right). Sad to say, those black Bonds tees are already sporting the made in china label. I had hoped I might get lucky and buy some old stock that was still made in Oz (there IS a noticeable difference in quality).

Re: RIP BONDS
You're right, I read too quickly and thought you said "good luck finding that shirt".scag66 wrote:Ive been watching your progress on the shirts, thats why i said good work on finding them, you must have thought i said good luck.
I have called around every Bonds outlet to see if they had any of the old blue shirts out the back with no luck.
Where the hell did all the unsold stock around the Country go? Surely they didnt throw them all out.
Do you happen to know WHEN they discontinued those blue shirts? I thought I'd heard it was years ago but I've never really heard anything definite.
As for dead stock, I would think there should still be some of the Oz-made black shirts around. Not that they're in as much demand. Or maybe a bunch of oz-made white shirts that could be bought for future dying into blue ones by somebody.

Everythings made in China
Honestly I find it alittle unsettling how our governments allow this, the leaders run their mouths about the unemployment rate, and yet do nothing to keep their/ our own working.
Sorry for the rant, it pisses me off
Sorry to hear about the loss of so many families livelihood
