Is Abbyshot on vacation?
Is Abbyshot on vacation?
I got great service from Abbyshot when I ordered my Max jacket and gloves. They were very responsive via email. Then after I got my jacket, I emailed them a couple of questions about the jacket's fit, and...nothing. A week later I tried again. No response. Anyone else have this kind of experience where after you made the purchase, they ignored you? Considering I was planning on buying other things from them, it's not a great customer service tactic.

They be not on vacation, at least, I assume not. My jacket is on it's way and they sent it last week (I ordered via madmaxcars.com), but I am praying to the lord of the wasteland that it may fit me nicely! It's a lot of money I sent their way, I got to work 2 weeks for the goods that where shipped to me.

Then I guess they figure they don't owe me anything more.
Mine fits great but it's about an inch or two too long (not a dealbreaker). My major gripe is that the bottom flares out too much--and when I use the adjustment tabs, the excess leather pokes out on the sides. Like Desloc says in the current boots thread, "the jacket is not taper cut but flare cut but it is the best jacket out there." I'm taking it to a shop to have the liner replaced (mesh would be optimal for me), and I'll see if they can fit the waist a little better for me. It would be nice to have liner options, but I figure Abbyshot doesn't sell enough to make another option worthwhile.

I have the best luck calling them. Email they are still ussually quite responsive, so I am not sure what the issue is, as they seem to be pretty concerned with Customer Service, (since a lot of their reputation is word of mouth based).MadMaxImages wrote:Then I guess they figure they don't owe me anything more.Mine fits great but it's about an inch or two too long (not a dealbreaker). The best time to have "Suggested" the redesign would have been a few month back when they were gearing up for the new batch of jackets bening made.
That said, a qualified leather talor should be able to fix the cut for you (since it would be taking it in), but make sure they are better than just replacing the liner for you......

They replied:
So...yeah.We undertake production of our product in batches and the Max jacket won't have another production run until after Christmas some time. We could take your measurements for a custom jacket at that time and the customization would be an extra charge. We can get in touch with you the next time we have a run on the Max jacket, and you can decide if you would like to have the customized jacket.
