ive just watched this film. ..... how much of the road warrior do you see in this film. from when the chase starts its nearly identical. ............ long live the roadwarrior , but not in a poxy bentley continental gt .................. .

Doomsday has many various movies of the past moments. Aliens, Escape From New York, Road Warrior, The Warriors...etc... If you think of Snake Plissken from EFNY and compare the female hero of Doomsday, you will start to see her as the female variation of Snake. The titles in the movie are the same as EFNY also, the list goes on and on. The whole APC sequence and there entering into the building is a variation of Aliens when the Colonial Marines enter into the complex and first encounter the Aliens. There is numerous movie references all the way through the film. I actually enjoyed the movie for its reference to classic films of the 1980's. Some others hated it and called it a rip off of films from the 80's. To each there own.

I like Doomsday, but more as a parody-sorta-fun-and-dont-think-film.. not so much as the 'serious' film one might accidentally think it is.

As a fan of the many films referenced in Doomsday, I loved it and thought it was a lot of fun to watch. I'd like to see more films like this rather than less. Hopefully the next round of post apoc has some more mohawked berserkers in it.
