I drive about fifteen miles of freeway to get to my jobs, and it's late at night. Sometimes I get an a-hole who will ride right up on me, in the slow lane, and finally decide to change lanes and pass me. On more than one occasion, I've looked in my rear-view mirror, assessed how far behind me the headlights are, and whether I could actually come up behind said schmuck, nudge his rear end to surprise him, then keep bumping him until he wipes out (I don't care what happens to him after that), then get off the freeway before any other cars catch up to identify me. But my civilized person kicks in (plus the fact that I know a CHP car sometimes sits along this stretch of highway), and my fear stops me. But what about you?
What are your Max fantasies, when you drive?

I think mine is more of a 'Wez' fantasy.
A crossbox bolt to the face of the dick driving the car next to me.
It's normally some probationary driver with baseball cap on and driving a skyline (ricer)

I nudge plenty of fuckers in the taxi - we drive BA FALCON's and they have pretty big balls, we can drag off and catch most cars - just wish they were Manuals so i could double clutch in the 110 zones down the airport and get even more speed out of them - but anyway at night i quite often turn off the top light and nudge pricks that have been riding my arse, i mean the cab isn't mine and they have black bumpers so not too fussed about damage.

Rock, what are the laws in Oz about that kind of stuff? (or in Taz, anyway, if they're separate?) Here in the states, (Cali, anyway), if you make the slightest bump and don't stop, you can get busted for hit and run. And if it even seemed like there's a chance that it could have been intentional, they'll nail you for assault with a deadly weapon.
As an American, I think our underwear is a little too tight sometimes.

oh its definately ILLEGAL, you kiddin' me? its bloody stupid rear ending people and shit, - i don't just go round indiscriminately running into people (as much as i'd like to) but if your just fucking with people that have just fucked with you on the road, like riding your arse, cutting you off, ignoring zip merge etc. they know its coming, they know your not just gonna ignore that shit, so they have to expect something, shit thrown at them, the finger, something - they tend not to call the coppers and even if they do, ya just say "hey coulda been any bloody cab, probably one of dem indian guys they're always pranging into stuff"

But unfortunately the law down here says whoever did the rear ending is at fault, no matter what the circumstance, no matter if that prick in front of you slambed his breaks on unprovoked just to fuck you up your still at fault, cause they see it as you shoulda been far enough behind them to be able to stop in time ya know? and justly so, i actually agree with that - if you wern't tail-gating then you wouldn't have hit them - but some pricks doing 40 in a 60 are just asking for it

But no they're not THAT strict down here, you just get a fine and some points taken, no assault with a deadly weapon or man slaughter etc. - what we really have strict laws on down here is Drinking and driving, they do not tolerate that shit, you cannot qualify for a restricted license or be let off with a warning, they will take your license for no less than 1 year, sometimes prison if you've been caught before, then when you've had your punnishment and shit you need to re-do all your tests you did when you were 18 and first got your license and have to undertake a liver test etc.
They ain't playin' with alcohol down here, i have 2 friends who found out the hard way.

I agree, when someone dicks with you, they've got to expect something back--but here, actually bumping the other car crosses the line, even if the driver knows he was being an idiot. The same guy who was Mr. Road Warrior when it was only flipping the bird, tailgating, intimidating by getting close to your car--if you really make contact, he'll get your license plate and cry to the police, or someone else will report you. Either that, or he'll pull a gun and start shooting, that's why I want to run them off the road from behind, in the dark.

As for drinking and driving, they take it seriously here too (again, it's state by state), not as bad as there though. When you're busted, you notify the DMV about it, or you automatically lose your license for a year. You'll be arrested, but there's minimal bail, you plead for the standard disposition. You get a couple points, do some freeway cleanup, it goes on your record, but essentially it's a warning shot. I've never been through it (knock on wood), just know how it works.
