Is Mad Max 2 the greatets film ever made?..i reckon it is....when you think about it,most sequals have allways been follow ons,if not mirror images of the previous movie.ill allways remember the first time i saw MM2,being totally blown away by the state the Interceptors lapsed into, the desolation, the apocolyptic environment it set in,how Max's character has evolved as well.when you actually think about it,when Warner Bros released it as The Road Warrior for the American public as a stand-alone film in its own right, its actually a backhanded compliment to it.This is what i try to explain to my burd, but she just doesnt get it.Also tried to get her to watch Chopper, but she aint having it,reckons its just another jail film.well its 0326 here in Scotland, the lagers are flowing.my point is,do i selotape her eyes open and tie her to a chair(idea from conspiracy theory, another Mel film!)and just accept her thanks later?

Yeh I would say it is one of the best films ever made. I saw MM2 first at the cinema back around 82 and still remains by best film.
Saw MM a year or two later but didnt have the same effect but is still an Aussie classic, dont get me wrong.
I can relate to MM2 in alot of everyday life, from times when you are thumping down the road just wanting to tramp it after that bike roars past ya, to times when you might be isolated and feel like you have to look after No.1
My coupes not finished yet but when she's going I plan to visit the MM2 sites...

Hi rockatansky4073. How many times have you seen that movie? As for me, I have seen "Mad Max 2" twenty times, maybe twenty-five. But, I know, for some fans, it is not a high score.

I can't count how many times I've seen both 1 and 2. I was a senior in high school when 2 came out and it became a standard feature at the midnight showings, right next to Apocalypse Now and Rocky Horror Picture Show. After 2 became well known, 1 joined it on the midnight bill.

I'm not sure what I would call THE greatest film ever made, but MM2 certainly ranks in the top 3 for me. If it's a simple question of "what's the one movie you'd want to have if you were stranded on a desert island," I would pick MM2. I find it fascinating that almost 30 years after it was made, I'm still watching it (ir)regularly (stopped counting a long time ago) and seeing new things. Pretty good for a comparatively low-budget flick from "nowhere."
