The chain in those handcuffs is high-tensile steel, it'll take you ten minutes to hack through it with this, now if your lucky ? you can hack through your ankle in five minutes. Go !
Re: madmax event, bairnsdale motor expo 2010
anyone wanting accomodation there are plenty of motels and a cpl a carvan parks, people need to organize this bit themselves all i know is camping is free at the race course, and campervans too.
all one needs to do is to look up on the internet for accomodation available in the area.
sorry i just dont have the time to book everyones accomodation.
i may look into one motel where i can see if i can get a discount for just madmax people attending. i will post when i know, stay tuned.

SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL OUTLAWS
Re: madmax event, bairnsdale motor expo feb 2010
Hell Yeah!
I guarantee i will be there.
Thats sounds awesome. A great mix of appearence and performance from the cars.
Im sick of events that are just "show and shine". Thats ok for vintage cars, but muscle cars should not be "purely" stationary at events.
Good work for putting your hand up and organising this 'Cruzn'. Good on you.
I will bring MAX-V8 if your looking to add another coupe to the list of cars. If you have too many I can leave it home but would still love to attend.
A camp out at the racetrack is brilliant. The whole weekend is dedicated to cars, even while sleeping.
Great for the boys, I can envisage swags and lean-to's between the cars and bikes next to the bitumen of the drag lane. It will be just like the 'Marauders' camp in MM2. That would be worthy of pictures in its own right.
The women folk will probably need something a little less primitive so I will most likely bring my other little toy. The offroad camper.

Cruzn, it has a deck on the roof with fixed ladder access which has been used as a camera platform in the past. I dont know if the event is going to have a videographer but your welcome to use the van as a platform or even as a moving camera car if you want. You could probably get some cool dynamic footage of the car chases on the day rather than just plain old static camera footage. It a diesel and because of its size it is a bit slow on acceleration so you will need to give it a headstart if you want "matched speed" filming.
Also if you need any help with this event, I would love to give you a hand
Let me know anyway.
Does the race track have a public address system?
In July and August ,Im recording some audio in a sound studio for the boys organising "Roadwar" so I could write some material for this event. It could play over the PA while there is no announcer or events giong on.

Z boy thats great Zboy, the more max fans the better
not sure on the mozzies, like any where i spose, you can always BYO lol
as gasline said we can hav a mock wasteland, the weathers usualy hot then so fires might be a no no
Gasoline Of course bring your car the family and your friends, we are very lucky having the drag strip down here and the racecourse and combining into one event, we will also be doing some cruizing on the
street, be great parking in the main street to let all know we are in town.
your offer on your 4x4 for roof pics from that is a great idea, i had plans to get a cheery picker as i have a photographer organized, but a cheery picker will
cost money, i will take you up on that offer. theres nothing worse than the mrs coming and no transport if she wants to go to the shops etc
there is a public adress system at the drags, im sure what you are recording could fit into the interval, a nice touch, thanks.
we also may be able to use it at the show at the racecourse during the show, and at night while everyones talking madmax.
i can also get a spot in the local car museum to display a car or two for a few weeks before hand, The Gippsland Vehicle Collection offered this to me so i
see what i can work out.
If anyone wants my phone no, send me a private mess and ill reply back, this will help in the lead up to it, we still have 7 months to go so hoping the word will get around,
infact i have had a cpl a people ask about the event already, with madmax 4 on the go im sure interest will grow.
cheers alan

The Max_Van will be there for sure.
A few people are working hard on night rider monaro replicas so we have switched our focus to another vehicle from the movie

i haven't spent a lot of time at bairnsdale, but if it's anything like Cann River, there'll be lots of mozzies and lots of sand flys (just like mozzies only a lot bigger!)cruzn2the max wrote:Z boy not sure on the mozzies, like any where i spose.

I'll try and bring down my Big Bopper pursuit (pending work commitments).
It won't take part in the drags, but it likes to cruise...
