The original Mad Max ending

Did you know that in the original, first draft script of Mad Max, instead of taking off after Toe Cutter in the high performance Interceptor, Max chases him in the cheesy looking van he and Jessie drove cross country in. But that's not all, the old lady who was there when Jessie and the kid got ran over has a bone to pick as well, and she joins Max on his quest for revenge. Also, instead of a dog, he and Jessie purchased a chimp. The chimp naturally joins their quest to get Toe Cutter. Anyway, the van proved too weak on the road, and Max, the old lady and the chimp were badly beat up, and sadly, sodomized by Toe-cutter and his cronies. At the end of the film, Max kills himself. I think its a good thing the way they changed the script as they did.
