Stone
Hello. Anybody have a copy of Stone that they'd like to share digitally? I've never seen it but I think it is worth at least one viewing... Maybe a youtube posting or even a RS link would be nice if that is acceptable. Just thought I'd ask, I'm sure more than a few have a copy of this film on this forum. Thanks alot!

Re: Stone
It has been released on DVD a few times already, most recently this year, it should not be too hard to find a copy. You could check when ezydvd has stock, or I'm sure there are many other retailers who would have it on hand.

It is an acquired taste - the acting was a bit corny in spots, but heh that was Oz in the early 70's.....here is an interesting quote from a film reviewer.....
"....Although it's only now being acknowledged, there can be little doubt that Stone (together with Weir's The Cars That Ate Paris which was in production at the same time) exterted a major influence on George Miller's hugely successful Mad Max series, and it surely can't be a coincidence that one of the characters in Stone is called "Bad Max"!........"
the best thing about 'Stone' is the bikes, pure and simple. Especially shots of Craig Brown (Castrol 6-Hour and star NZ rider) doing stand-up wheelies on a stock Z900, 30 years before Troy Corser made them famous at Phillip Island on a Ducati.
Try and get a copy of Stone Forever as well if you can - its a worms-and-all documentary on the making of this film.
A number of actors from Stone later starred in Mad Max. Hugh Keys-Byrne probably being the most famous (Toad), also Vince Gil as Dr Death, Roger Ward as Hooks, and in all probability a number of other small-part actors as well.

Re: Stone
There are two documentaries on the current DVD release, I'm pretty sure the doco you're referring to is on the previous DVD release as well.
The one thing I've not seen on DVD is the anniversary doco, I've got a VHS kicking around (taped from SBS), but I've never seen that particular one released on DVD that I know of.
