"Reflexes, that's you you've got"

Ok, one of the things that bothered me about Max was in the Road Warrior, Max is quick enough to grab a snake. But in Mad Max,he wasn't quick enough to keep his arm from getting run over by Bubba. Also, before he gets run over by Bubba, why is he even reaching for his shotgun, he still has his service revolver in his shoulder holster? He could just use that instead of the shotgun.

He just got shot in the leg. I am sure he was just trying to get out of that situation as best he could. He probably wasn't thinking about the best weapon to use. Things were happening so fast.

That and do you know how hard it is to shoot one of those revolvers. i couldn't hit anything standing five feet in front of it with my gun. the shotgun has a wider shot to it and is easier to aim.

It's all about stopping power. Max dinky little revolver isn't going to stop Bubba from running him over, a shot gun will.

I'm denying that the shotgun would be the prefered weapon, just saying that he should've been able to move his arm quick enough to keep from getting it run over. Adrenalin (sp?) does amazing things in time of need. But then again, it's just a kewl movie.

Well I think I am going to have to agree with my collegues on the the fact that he had just been shot and was probably paying attention to Bubba and Toecutter rather than really thinking about the gun. Also you gotta remember that he threw the gun when he got shot, so it was a few feet away, making it tougher to just lean over and pick it up. In my opinion I think he should have just run over Johnny and his bike rather than getting out of the car!

I don't know about you, but a even a 38 round will put a crimp in your style. Plus, people don't get blown off things like MM1 unless the cable is tied REAL tight.
