Road Warrior HD-DVD

Hi!

After the HD-DVD release of "Road Warrior" i realized its

about time to buy a HD-DVD PC-Rom.

Even i cant run full HD (1960*1080) on my computer

(Monitor is limited to 1680*1050) the addition of detail is amazing.

I like the colors of the daylight-shots of old DVD more, because

they look a bit more warm, but the night-shots of the HD-DVD are greatly enhanced.

Maybe the german HD-DVD release will be a bit different colorwise, ill check when its released here in july.

The transfers are different too, DVD is 2.35:1 and HD-DVD is 2.4:1.

Another nice feature is that the HD-DVD is 4 minutes longer than the standard DVD, and scenes which where missing on the old dvd (like when Wez is moving the boomerang in the GY head)are included back.

Hopefully Mad Max will be released on HD-DVD soon!

This may sound like a stupid question but if I were to buy the HD DVD and the player would it still look better like on a plain TV ? I just saw those and I really need that DVD. I don't really want to have to buy it on that DVD cause I'd soon have to convert all my plain DVDs. But for this I think I'll make an exception.

@Bad Cop: On regular TV's the picture got scaled too much down, so you dont will see more details.

Im pretty happy that i get my 32" LCD-TV next week,

its still not full HD, but way better then my old CRT TV.

So it won't look any better ? My parents and I just can't afford the TV. If anything we could afford the DVD player and DVD. So Thats it. I'm screwed. They just couldn't put it on plain DVD they just had to put it on only Blue Ray and HD. Those [url]mailto:F@#%ers[/url] at WB. Crap I'm pissed. I'm not talking it out on you Cueball I'm just posting my frustrations.
