Went for a weekend trip to Nagasaki, Shimabara and Unzen. Got some nice pics to show you all.

This pic is from Unzen. This is a foot onsen that is free to use on the main street.

Walked around the town of Unzen and found another free foot onsen.

Coming into the town of Shimabara you get a view of the really formidable volcanoes in the background. They can be viewed from the castle grounds. the view from the mountain tops is amazing.

That last shot was a drive by shoot. nearly ran off the dam road for that one.

They have a Chinatown in Japan??


Isn't that sorta like having an Americatown in Canada?


I mean, is there that much difference between the two cultures?


Hmmm I suppose to a Chinaman or a Japanese there is, but for this capitalist westerner it seems weird to read that.


Nice pix Revline, thanks for the virtual vacation.


Possible caption for that statue, it reminds me of an old T-shirt design from the late 70's which had this huge dominat figure casting out this small wimplike figure, the caption was "Sod Off!"
