Has anyone done a "Nightrider" Monaro replica yet? After all it was an MFP car.
Prices for 2-door Monaro's are pretty high though, then again so are Ford Coupe's nowadays. I'm sure there'd be a beat-up Monaro shell somewhere just dying to be transformed into a toey, metho-fuelled machine.

Too bad it wasn't based on a Commodore or a Torana. Every man and his dog has one of those!
But nah, they had to pick a rare car...

I know there are a few Monaros floating around over here..I shipped a white one over years ago, but never heard of a N.R. being done so far either.
I will just stick with my Toranas anyways

Are you going to tatoo "DEATH" on your toes and drive with handcuffs on as well? No Nightrider replica would be complete without that... lolQuote: Originally posted by madmaxxx on 03 May 2007

A replica of the NR's Monaro would be unique. Even among the most hard core car fans (excluding MM fans) I wonder how many would recognize it by itself? If it is done movie correct it would have the "rat rod" appeal, as does the RW BoB. Duplicating the body damage would be an obstacle that would certainly be the source of many, many questions, opinions, and criticisms.
Considering the rarity of the car I think the option would be to do it as it would have been when it was first put into MFP service; clean and new with fresh paint. Being a Pursuit Special in all it's glory.
Another thought on movie correct, this car is an untold story of it's own. It looks pretty beat, more so than the NR could have done in this one cross country chase.

You should've heard the story of what Murray Smith did to make the car look that way.....all done in just one evening of...shall we say.... driving around town.
