Goose's towtruck song?

Post by hooty7 »

Hey guys, does anyone know the name or lyrics to the song that Jim Goose is trilling loudly, as he drives the towtruck down the highway, right before the punk throws a rock through his windshield? If I can answer this, I win a fat bet !

if you put it the subtitle on the dvd you'll get the lyric.something about old london town.i'll watch it again tonight now.its acually amazing how much the subtitles help because a lot of the dialog is very faint.light another springs to mind.also where max and jim have the trike pulled over with the young couple.

so long as the paperwork is clean, you boys can do anything you like out there

Toecutter must have recruited Johnny straight off the Aussie Olympic Brake Drum Throwing Team 'eh... he makes a bull's eye strike to the windscreen on a moving ute from a higher grade at about 40-50 ft distance... with a 10 to 14lb cast iron brake drum.. underhand even.. with no practice throw ...

But ..It does look like Johnny's throw is good enough to land it somewhere on the ute's hood ( bonnet ).

I had a friend who watched MAD MAX with me once, who used to be a boy scout, and he recognised the song, and said it was popular in scouting and country folk.

Hey Hooty7 this is the exact same question that I was searching an answer for when I found this forum.

Still never got an answer and I haven't left yet

You'll be hooked soon too, get out while you still have the willpower. Save yourself! Let my suffering be a warning! I used to be content with just watching the films now and then. Now the voices are whispering to me in broad day light!

Subtitles eh? Clever boy! I hadn't thought of that angle.... "all this time" Image

Go lay down and put your foil hat back on. You'll have to excuse BIKER...He's "Whacked right out of his skull, man...ain't ever comin' back."

Actually the subtitles are a good idea, I'll have to try it out on another movie.

The song was an old song that Stuntman Terry Gibson who rode the bike in the Goose high speed scene and also rode the Toecutter chase scene taught Steve Bisley whilst on set.

Source of this information. Terry Gibson himself.
