MOVIE QUOTE 3. BEYOND QUOTADOME.

Post by rockatansky4073 »

someone mentioned that the MOVIE QUOTES SEQUEL was getting a little long, (CAM i think) so i thought i'd be the first to start the trilogy going, though it'll probably end up a QUADrilogy.

So heres a few to get going.

" I'm ready man, ready to get it on. check it out, i am the ultimate badass, state of the badass art, you do not wanna f**k with me. check it out, Aye Ripley, don't worry, me and my squad of ultimate badasses will protect you, check it out - Independantly targetting particle beam gun VWAP! fry half a city with this puppy. We got tactical smart missiles, phased plasma rifles, RPG's, we got sonic e - lec- tronic ballbreakers, we got nukes, knives, sharps sticks..."

"well the wolf don't know why he's a wolf, the deer don't know why he's a deer, god just made it that way"

"There was a boy in the lake" - "ma'm, we didn't find any boy" - "then he's still out there"

"You mean the ol' Franklin place?" - yeah its an old 2 story house and its sitting up on a hill, i think we were supposed to take a turn back there, but i'm not quite sure":

"Between the time when the oceans drank Atlantis, and the rise of the sons of Aryas, there was an age undreamed of. And onto this, Cam, destined to wear the jeweled crown of Aquilonia upon a troubled brow. It is I, his chronicler, who alone can tell thee of his saga. Let me tell you of the days of high adventure! Yeah OHC that's Boom bum bom bom bom (please note the theme tune there) Conan The Ballbearing. Damn fine film still haven't riddled the riddle of steel yet though.

Hey Rocka, I got the Aliens one at the first line of the paragraph. The rest I'm not sure of some especailly "the Franklin place" line... Psycho?... But the 'Wolf don't know it's a wolf' sounds very familiar could it be the same film this line comes from;

"I'm gonna medievel on your Ass!" (answers on a postcard or simply post below)

Bike's "Would you like another egg?" line also sounds familiar and the only one that springs to mind is Cool Hand Luke. LOL! Seriously though is it Easy Rider? Damn that's not right but the answers right there just hovering out of reach in my cortex or left tesicle whichever it is us males use to think with.

Meantime while you're pondering Bike's line and my one above how about.

"Hey Mister, some of your folding money's come unstowed."

and another one only marginally harder, the lyrics from a song in a film, everyone's gonna get it, except cluelessZ, who has yet to actually see the film:Image

"....my tongue alungalung get's solololo loose... "

Well it sounds something like that anyways Image

Ya right about the ALIENS quote, and yes the 'Boy in the lake' one is FRIDAY THE 13th 1.

But noone has guessed the Franklin place one, or the wolf deer one yet, - none of them are HOUSE 1000Image

the riddle of steel is really an enigma, a paradox

Thulsa Doom, explained: "Steel isn't strong, boy. Flesh is stronger." What is steel compared to the hand that wields it?" The answer is plain: steel itself is nothing; the sword itself is not powerful; its power comes from the master will that directs it. Only human beings have that strength, not swords, not steel.

Ironically, Thulsa Doom didn't recognise that Conan the Man in front of him, was the ultimate expression of mind over flesh...his time at the Wheel, in the Gladiator ring, crucifixion on the tree of woe were trials of will to survive...he could've laid down and died at any point, but he forced through the pain......so essentially it was the will of the mind that controls flesh, steel, sword..and that is true power!

Unless you live under a rock...you'd know I !#$#%ing love that film...James Cameron has made some of the best films of all time (IMHO)The Abyss, T2, etc...however I feel he is a complete tool...(as a person that is)...its nothin professional!Image

Professional or personal?

I agree, Cameron's made some seriously good action films and knows how to excite the audience with some jaw dropping stories and scenes. Titanic was great despite the artistic license he took making a love story based on a disaster into such a success. I'd had a fasciantion with Titanic before the film came out and it only interested me the more for having seen the intensive details to which the film designers researched up on before shooting began. I wish a lot of producers and direectors took such pains to that detail. I even heard the guy who created the Endo Skeleton was approached by robot designers because they felt his machine could actually work it had that much detail in it. That fella also designed the Alien in Predator.

I just hope the new generation of heavily influenced CGI films hasn't left Cameron sitting at the roadside wondering what to do next. Is he still shacked up with the Sarah Conner actress from T1&2? I heard he'd left his wife for her when he made T2.
