Im looking for a Mad Max style truck spoiler and fender flares and any other good parts. Im just getting started and have a long way to go!

When I registered the Goss coupe back in 2003, I took in the Customs paperwork, a safety inspection, emissions test (for here in St. Louis) the bill of sale and the Australian registration. I had a Vic Roads title and MO DMV took all that and gave me a MO title.

In our latest situation, we're lacking the Aussie registration for our cars. It has been suggested that it may be as simple as having the local police or the MO Hwy Patrol verify the VIN. Or maybe we just submit the Customs paperwork, bill of sale and inspection(s) and see if we can get a MO title on just that. I guess I'm closer than you or Jason to getting registered, so I'll let you know what happens.

How's the car coming along? Send me a pic of that V8 badge on your right front guard (fender). I thought that was cool and would like to replicate it for my car.

See ya!

Hey Mitch, How are you? Its been a while since I talked to you, things have been crasy and not much time to attend to the coupe. I started reading some of your other post but didnt get to far. I am looking forward to reading them through and getting caught up.

I havent got to the dmv to look into a title yet but hopefully an ID/OD verification along with the other documents as you mentioned will be ok. I know an ID/OD is required for a vehicle purchased from out of state and the highway patrol used to provide this service, but I have been told they no longer do. Hopefully I will be able to make some phone calls soon and get some things rolling. Im a long way from passing any sort of safety inspection but I would like to get a title as soon as possible.

I did manage to get my car running. The motor was stuck but with a breaker bar and a little force I was able to break it free. Bolted on a starter and a different 2v carby and it fired right up. Runs and sounds real good, I only drove it into the garage as still no brakes yet but so far so good.

I will get some pictures of the emblem for you this weekend. I only have the one and its not in very good shape but you can have it if you like, I'm not going to use it.

Talk to you soon!

Out of curiosity..what was cleared through customs then, paperwork wise if the car was missing it's rego papers ?

Another option is to do a lien sale on the veicle... some years ago I sold a XB ute to a friend of mine here, and he lost all the paperwork I had given him.(he took a while to register it, and is bad with paperwork to begin with ,LOL ) Since he has a tow yard, instead of bothering me to dig out copies of the stuff, he just ran a lien on his own car (since it had never been registered here in the US at that point), was easy..and a month later had a clear lien, then just off to DMV and got it registered.
