Max's Jacket....update #2

Post by .MAD MAX. »

Hey All, I was supposed to meet up with the owner of Abbyshot yesterday but time was against us so we chatted on the phone for some time instead. One of the things that was brought up a few times was the final price. Bonnie thinks she finaaly found the leather they'll be using while on her trip so now she needs to get things priced out. In the mean time what we thought would be a good idea is for people to send me an e-mail with what they feel would be a fair price. I've already had some express interest in buying 2 jackets (one with badge holes and shoulder caps and one without). Keep in mind that these people really do their homework and that ALL product is hand made with the best material they can get and the attention to detail is second to none! So if you are very serious about getting a jacket please send me a brief e-mail:

- of what you feel would be a fair deal

- would you also consider buying a pair of gloves

send to: pursuit16 (@) cogeco.ca remove brackets. I will not pass on any personal info, e-mails etc....just compile the numbers and pass it on. No need to reply to this post....and just for the record, I have no clue as to what the finished product may cost and I'm doing this purely for the my love of the movie. I just want a jacket that comes in my size finally.

Thanks, Doug

hey Guys, I've only received 3 e-mails which is a bit of a let down as I know there are more than that that are interested. Abbyshot will post the price and release date when they are able and I'll post on here (or someone will I'm sure). I'm getting anxious myself as the first big cruise is 1 month away !

Doug,

Looks like this is where we separate the men from the boys/tirekickers...

Maybe when some of the fencesitters/boys/tyrekickers see how cool the jackets come out, they'll find a way to scrape together the cash. Us gainfully employed adults are lucky to have the disposable income for opportunities like this. Like ya said, we'll see who is FAN enough to take the plunge...

Well said John. We all have financial obligations, but if one says they're going to do something, then well...do it!

Doug. I think I was covered in your first post about one stock and one modified jacket, but I'll send you an e-mail none the less. Cheers.

Just a suggestion, and it may be as obvious to the rest of you as it was to me, but for the US fans, it would be logical to use the last four of your SSN as a badge number. (I'm talking about the rectangular MFP plate, not the fancy bronze shield.) When we get our jackets, it would be kinda silly for all of us to have MFP 4073. : )

I'm printing mine at work. If it comes out decent I'll see about doing badges at cost for whoever's interested.

And,

Since some of you are too damn lazy to e-mail Doug, let's see who can at least post here with some level of interest in getting a Mad Max jacket.

You know you want one...

...Or your favorite number or the last numbers of the cars vin or engine size. Example, I'm dumping in a 460 bored .030" over to make it a 467 cid-7.65L...So...maybe MFP 467 might be workable?

I'm leary of using my sosh number...in any circumstance...even the report you get every year...lol.

Should the roof number and the badge numbers be the same? It makes sense that they are, if your building a MFP departmental unit and not a movie replica.

Anybody consider a registry with our screen names and MFP numbers so there isn't any overlap?
