Head to head I reckon Wez would have taken Max.

No I'm not joking either.

In all three films whenever have you really seen Max go toe to toe and actually fight with someone? It's just a swift punch here or a shotgun blast there. The Thunderdome fight was just a trapeze/ballet and even in that Max only defeated Blaster by exploiting a weakness with the whistle.

Granted Max is more calculating and would probably win if you put them into an empty library building or such and told them two men enter, only one man leaves. He's clever enough to win while Wez would blunder around like a beserker....

But in a back alley bare knuckle no rules fight Wex would wipe the floor AND walls with Max. Wez was just too bada$$

Chewie I know you're just jerking our collective chain here but good topic anyways.

What about Vader vs Maul then?

Like pointed out by others, head to head Wez would beat Max.

Max is cripled, Wez is not, Max is an average joe, Wez is a gymnastic. And while both have high tolerances for pain (see max1 where max gets shot in the knee, and naturally the whole arrow thing for Wez in max2) Wez is crazy. And crazy goes a long way in a head to head fight with no weapons.

Maul was a lame fighter. He spent most of the movie looking hard and then the first big fight he gets in he gets cut in two and falls into the cooling manifold of a fusion reactor.
