ok .what do we know about "the darkone".max,s sidekick .whats your thoughts ,views,ideas of "this person".how high up the ranks was he.was he on holiday when the madmax was filmed ?.was he max,s imaginary friend from when he was a kid !!!!!!! who knows.come on ,whats your thoughts !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, In the farmhouse, when May makes a phone call, in the un-dubbed version, May says, "The Dark One, and hurry it up, will you? Its May Swaisey........" The dubbed version May says, "Get me Ziggy, and hurry it up will ya? Its May Swaisey." I never knew that until they released the Special Edition DVD.

Also when Max is handing in Cundalini's hand.... Presumably to the Dark One.... he refers to himself in the 3rd person.... "If Ziggy says so........"

And he tells Max .... May is expecting them.......

max tells may to get the dark one and she askes for him. its in the original realease video in australia-which i have-i didnt notice it until i read this website

As we all know films are never shot in order of each scene. I think it is entirely possible that the farm scenes were shot early on, before they knew that they were not going to utilize the Dark One character. You see his name on Max's yellow Interceptor and Max uses his name at the farm house, and that's it.

Another possible take on it could be that the Dark One was Max's partner but has moved on whether through a promotion or a move to some other capacity where he wouldn't have to deal with the mayhem on the street.

Just a couple theories.
