I've always wanted to have a "Mad Max-mobile" but know nothing about sending cars to the U.S. here, so I thought "Hey, why not just use an American car for it. So what if it's not "the real thing."" So, I've found that the '70-'71 Ford Falcon, Fairlane, and Torino seem to fit the bill. Find a two door, slap some black paint on it, some cheap $70 white wagons wheels (painted black, of course), and if you've got the money (I don't), a blower. It would have to be a working one. I can't imagine how they got the movie car to run like that with a non-functioning supercharger. For the four-door pursuit cars, use a four-door Falcon, Fairlane or Torino. I think Mustangs are too small, and the Mavericks don't have the look. Heck, you could probably use a GM product, too. Like a Nova or Chevelle and pass it off as one. They had that Holden Monaro in Mad Max as an Interceptor, so why not?

Oh, if I could spare the Money, that one would be MINE

(Though I'd have to remove and redo the "PUR SUIT" from the spoiler)

it looks to be nice car but where are the 'cooler modifications' that they claim in auction?

I agree with the redo of the "PUR SUIT" on the Javlin, should be just the red outline like on the PS Nightrider stole.......
Check this one out.... Has the Zoomies already, I'd hate to ruin the great green but it sure would look the part in a nice satin black...

Well, dunno about "coolER", but I'd certainly call the Fuel Cell in the trunk kinda on the coolish side.
Other than Fixing the "PUR SUIT" on the spoiler, I'd feel compelled to delete the Airsoft guns and maybe put some rear seats back in.
(Though I do kinda like the Storage cubbies in the back.)
Maybe I'd rig a back seat with Storage Under..

Run like what?
We're talking about an XB GT here.
A right capable musclecar in bone stock form.
Fully able to do the Burnouts and all the other manuevers seen in the movies right out of the factory.
You know.. I've always wondered which ("actor") car was really faster.
The Black on Black or the Yellow Interceptor.

Up until I found out that you could actually import the Falcons, the 1972 Plymouth Road Runner/Satellite Sebring was going to be my first choice (BoB #1 and Ply RR #2 in my favorite line-up). I had planned on the 440/727 combo, gloss black, dual spoilers and the blower (MOPAR engines are good for short blower snouts) and it was going to have 3-toned gun metal flames...never thought of the zoomies, just the 5" megaphones. Funny how fate works sometimes...you're saving up for one car, and someone named Phil writes an e-mail and says he has an XB for sale...my my how the world turns...one day a pedestrian, the next a road warrior...still might get the RR though...or a Falcon sedan...there's too many choices!!!! AAAAA!!!!
