DIECAST DISTRIBUTORS ANNOUNCEMENT.

Post by Gordon Hayes »

Hi all.

I have just got of the phone after again speaking with DIECAST DISTRIBUTORS AUSTRALIA PTY LTD

I have been speaking with this company quite a lot over the last few months.

The Company director has now cleared the way for me to announce that not only will a model of my own personal replica be manufactured

But that I shall be technically advising on the 1/18 th scale model of the nomadic desert toughened second version of the car.

At this point the prototype model for the 18th scale "Last of the V8 interceptors" in its twin fuel tank equipped desert travelling presentation is now under construction.

Release date is expected to be quarter one 2006. It shall be the first model released.

For those who were not happy with the first diecast distributors 1/24th scale model, fear not this new model I am assured will be manufactured by a different company and be aimed at a totally different level of customer. This will be a highly detailed collectors quality model, and it will have no connection to the toy standard model that was the 1/24th scale car.

I am assured that the models accuracy will be second to none, and as I have the final say in prototypes quality control I intend to make sure that the manufacturer delivers a model second to none in both quality and detail.

Diecast distributors did fly to Perth and view my replica so they know what they are up against in terms of the detail required.

Regards

Gordon Hayes

Hi Scar2783 ,

Mark .. yea I will say hi to John for you.

He mentioned you in conversation...

Cheers Gordon.

PS: I have fed in a ton of information so far, so lets hope the prototype is close to what I am hoping for. Wait and see I expect, As I said to john.. totally no point doing this thing half way right, it is going to have to be all the way right, or "just walk away".

Cheers

Is there a minimum lot/production quantity needed for it to go? I'm in for at least three of them when available. Is the price going to be around the $125.oo to $150.oo AU mark like the Tango and Apollo XB's? Keep us posted, mate...
