UK Fans - Heads Up - Mad Max on the BBC

A quick heads up for all us UK Mad Max'ers. The latest issue of the Radio Times lists BBC1 as showing Mad Max on Saturday Night (9th July) at about 11 pm.

Don't know whether they will show the proper one or the god awful US dub though (It was the US dub last time however!)

I just wish they would show their TV edit of MM2 sometime, its been a long while....

Cool, fingers crossed it isn't the US dubbed version.

Its the proper Aussie soundtrack!!

Evidently the BBC must have listened after they showed the US dub (in error?) last time.

Strange....

Up and until now, it was uncut, however the beach scene is missing the part where Toecutter takes Johnny the Boy into the sea, does up his tie and then stick the (empty!) shotgun into his mouth.

Instead it cut straight to the following shot from behind of those two walking into the ocean with the 'Remember to keep your sweet sweet mouth shut' line from the missing bit placed over it.

Why?!?

Also, is that George Miller as the cocktail waiter in the Sugartown Cabaret?

I muse that they do that kind of thing so they can 'free up' a couple of minutes in total from the schedule and then have a 'News Update' or something after it finishes. No excuse though.
