Bowel loosening bad guys

Post by Biker »

Hi All,

Had a bit of insomnia last night and in an attempt to bore myself to sleep I tried compiling a list of bad guys that are on my "A list" Along with Clarence Boddicker and Rutger Hauer in Hitcher here they are, in no particular order:

Gary Oldman; as the bent cop in Leon.

Yul Brynner; when he played the android in Westworld.

Christopher Walken; in any role as a bad guy. (he shined in the Bond film Living Daylights) Freddy Krueger; Nightmare on Elm Street.

Quentin Tarantino; in From dusk till dawn.

John Malcovich; in that film with Clint Eastwood when he played an assassin.

Harvey Kietel; The Wolf in Pulp Fiction

Robert Carlisle (the nut job in Trainspotting) when he acted as Hitler. A truly chilling and hypnotic performance. And in Bonds The world is not enough.

And last but, most definitely, by no means least; Bubba Zenetti.

Also rans;

Marcellus Wallis; Boss man in Pulp Fiction "We're gonna get medieval on your ass"

Lawrence Olivier; in Marathon man.

Christopher lee; as anything bad except in Lord of the Rings.

Clancy Brown; The Kurgen in Highlander.

Gene Simmons; (of the rock group Kiss) opposite Rutger Heaur in Wanted Dead or Alive

Jeremy Irons in Die Hard 3

Why I chose these fellas over others is because they sent a small (sometimes 'kin huge!) chill down my spine when they appeared on the big screen. There are probably nastier roles played in films that I haven't seen, or have, but they haven't made such an impact as these ones did with me.

Why they made that impact I tried to define and came to the conclusion it was the cold way they played their role. I mean to say it was so convincing that it was easier to believe they were being themselves and not actually acting a part in a film. Know what I mean? OK they were crazy, but calculatingly crazy, who really couldn't see a difference between killing a bug and killing a baby.

I'm looking forward to seeing what youcome up with and oes I might have missed

Wannbes;

Micheal Ironside; Scanners and Total recall.

Steven Seagal

Bruce Willis in Jackel

Big Bopper Bart I can't believe you saw Hitcher aged 10!!! Your parents must have been hippies or just plain cruel! I saw it in my mid 20's and it left me stunned... It does explain a few things about you though LOL!

I'd agree with Porte in Payback, but only if it's the James Coburn 'Porter'.

How about Harvey Keitel in 'The Bad Lieutenant'? One of the darkest bad goodguys you'll ever see.

Or the villian in the original Dutch version of 'The Vanishing'?

Or the hitman/thug in 'Man Bites Dog"?

Come on, you must pick humans! By definition, alines aren't human so they can't demonstrate a lack of humanity.

...actually ignore that; I suppose if they're bad and then chill you, it don't matter what species they are Image

Dr. Hanibal Lector - Silence of the Lambs

Dennis Hopper - Psycho snorts-PCP-thru-a-mask guy in Blue Velvet

Christopher Walken - Any bad guy

Clarence Boddicker - Robocop

Richard O'Brian - Mr. Hand in Dark City

Mallory Knox's Dad - Natural Born Killers

Arnold Swartzenegger - The Terminator in The Terminator

Mr. Helpman - Disabled guy in Brazil

Michael Myers - Hallowe'en

Toecutter - Mad Max

And quite a few of Rockatansky's choices, especially Bricktop and Dog. Well nasty that pair.

...I dig the thread.

What about Darth Vader?

Alex in A Clockork Orange, if you think about it

maybe the unseen trucker in Duel

Khan from ST2

speaking of Trek, Kurtood Smith(Boddiker) played the Starfleet president in #6

I think the Darth Maul character shouldn't have been killed off in Epi 1

If I thought awhile, I could probably come up with some from anime

larger than life and twice as ugly

Yeah your right, BART, but they were "operating without any restraint, gone completely insane, and shoulda been terminated with extreme predjudice"

BILL, was a complete bastard, violence was the solution to everything, look at his solution to ending that election bullsh*t, he meat axe's a guy in the back, then breaks his skull.

some of you guys got some good characters, i don't know why i never thought of EARLY GRACE, the most frightening redneck killer since M&M.

ALEX DELARGE, still talked about today.

And a couple of new ones, i though of.

JOHN DOE - SE7EN.

MAX CADE - CAPE FEAR (91version)

PANDO - TWO HANDS.

MEAN MACHINE - JUDGE DREDD.

Sgt. ROBERT BARNES - PLATOON.

BRETT SPRAGUE - THE BOYS -(one of the scariest most unpredictable borderline psychopaths, you'll ever see, and if your AUSTRALIAN, you've met this guy in every pub you've been to)

ALBERT SPICA - THE COOK THE THIEF HIS WIFE AND HER LOVER.

PATRICK BENOIT - MAN BITES DOG.

DON LOGAN - SEXY BEAST.

PETER McCABE - DESPERATE MEASURES - (one of the most underated psycho's in movie history, forget HANNIBAL, this guys got almost as much security surrounding him, and intelligence, and he still has a faster, more muscly body, than ol' HANNIBAL)

MAYNARD - GHOSTS OF THE CIVIL DEAD - (NICK CAVE steals the show from our own NIGHTRIDER as a 'noisy' insane prisoner)

JUPITER - THE HILLS HAVE EYES.

Jupiter? holy sh*t you know about Micheal Berryman?he kicks ass man he got fame in Horror movies thanx to his disorder ebing born with out hair nails or teeth.and Sgt.Barnes was brutal in his tactics, but they worked in the ugly hell of a war he was fighting in.it was inevitable that Barnes and Elias were gonna clash and only one would walk away breathin.and Bill the butcher held a uneasy leadership in old NY as you had to be tough and cut throat to live there at that time.I found his charactor charasmatic and totally brutal as well,he didn't seem like your A typical 'bad guy'.So who's Early Grace?i prob heard of him or what he did i just can't place his name :)
