How do we know?
Has there ever been any concrete statements made by anyone involved in Mad Max IV that the movie is 100% dead? I mean don't they let fans know so they aren't left hanging? Don't these people have any consideration for the people who buy movie tickets? After all it us idiots that make it so men like Gibson and Miller can make their millions. I mean they make public statements saying the movie is a go, contracts signed. Then not a freaking peep is heard out of these people when the project flounders. To leave us in an eternel state of wondering and hoping.

MAD MAX IV - FURY ROAD
DEC 02 - March 03
Swakopmund geared itself up late 2002 for the greatest single film event in Namibian history - only to have the dream fall into the dust as doors closed on Production of Mad Max IV - Fury Road in March this year.
NAMIB FILM was also disappointed with the postponement, having been involved for 18 months in finding and developing locations. Guy Nockels, Executive Producer of NAMIB FILM and Location Manager for Fury road, is philosophical about the postponement: " I've been in the industry for so long now that you always know this kind of thing could happen. It's Namibia who loses out on this one: the movie would have generated so many jobs and income for a lot of people, not to mention really put the country on the map for good!"
Just found the above, on the site below.... I've never seen it before....??? Even has some names in it, looks like some more solid info...

How do we know?
I don't know. I heard from other videographers like myself that Fury Road was dead. But there is a slight amber glow in my soul that thinks Fury Road is being shot in secret and in bits and peaces. If this is true, please George Miller, make it more violent- make the violence shocking- that is what Mad Max is all about--- a dark and EXTREMELY violent world.
Check out the Fury Road poster on madmax.net
It looks excellent, serious and dark. Max looks mean. Only one problem though. The silhouetted figure of Max in the background (as we all know) is from Road Warrior. The artist should have blurred the image, changed or deleted the rocks-- then the poster would have looked more convincing. Still, the artwork looks fiery hot.

Well, Fury Road was taken off Mel Gibson's filmography at imdb.com, so that's not a good sign.

well it'c cause max is doing "bird on a wire 2" instead of fury road and i doubt he'll ever come back there it's alittle of our country's president's fault and little bit of thep orduction companies that kept dropping the ball mel was set to do the movie he even had a role for robert downey jr. the original movie was to bring back auntiy entity, the ferral kid and maybe even goose but they blew it
last ramblings i heard is it might become a prequil picture but those were extreme rumors last offical word was that the movie would go on without mel but honestly that means re writes and taking mad max''s name off the marquiee then what have ya got not a mad max movie to me i'm sorry but if i see "mad max fury road staring collin ferral" then i'm walkign out.
they could pull off a decent movie if they are makign one at all but i don't think we'll see a movie at all anymore it be that great "wouldn't it be great if thye made that?" movie

George Clooney or Antonio Benderras- even Michael Keaton from the original Tim Burton "Batman" movie. Those dudes would be a better choice. But that dude from that website? No way. No way.
