I know that it's pretty late to talk about that one, but Alien Vs Predator reached Europe only now. Well, it's not that bad if you didn't see the other ones. It's more Predator 3 than Alien 5 and often Involuntarily funny (the 40 meters tail, the marshmallow Predators) but has some very nice special effects without all that CGI crap!

I kinda liked it. And i'm a giant ALIEN and PREDATOR fan, i'm talking almost Fanatical.
but what i couldn't understand was everyones hatred of the SCAR PREDATOR teaming up with the chick. If you know PREDATOR's, and their nature (Movies and comics info) you'd know that, its natural as hell, for them them to do that.
PREDATOR's did look too clean though, not al mean and dirty like the others.
In comparison to an Alien, a Predator resembles a human. It's pretty normal for the chick to be on his side. I was not shocked by the teamwork. Quite the contrary, it was one of the poignant moments of the film.
What really astonished me, was the vulnerability of the Predators. 1 Alien kills 2 Predators! Since the movie Aliens, a standard alien doesn't frighten anybody. It's just cannon fodder. Here, they're again as dangerous as in first film. I didn't like the end: it was a bit too foreseeable with that also contaminated Predator. Young warrior, why did you take your mask off? This hybrid didn't please me at all, but it was already in a comic.

All those neato s/fx were all cgi. There is more cgi work in that one film than all 3 of the original Star Wars movies put together. The two companies that did all the work did a fantastic job making it realistic and very difficult to see the "wires" in all the special effects.
I liked the story, it combined a lot of the main elements from the AvsP books and comic books. If you didn't like the ending wait till the dvd comes out then you can choose your ending.
