Cool Image

Director Mark Steven Johnson, who made Daredevil, is in Melbourne preparing for shooting, on January 31 with star Nicolas Cage.

He said half the film would be shot in Melbourne streets. The rest will be shot in the Central City Studios at Docklands, with a small portion in Broken Hill

I'm glad its getting but, I really do hope they do it some justice. I have seen what they s/fx crew came up with a while back and it was not impressive in the least bit. Hell the Skeletor from the Masters of the Universe movie looked better than what they had to show for, ehh who knows what we'll get.

Would love to be there for the filming just to see it done. If some one gets a chance to be near the shooting get some footage for me, Please!!!!

Ghost Rider is a US comic book that deals with a stunt motorcycle guy who makes a pact with satan to save his father in laws life (or somthing like that) and in the process becomes a "Demi-Demon" type thing (transforms at night?) with a flaming skull atop his motorcycle leathers, and the ability to shoot flame from his fingettips, and create a motorcycle out of flame...... thats the rough draft anyhow...

oohhh... I thought that this was some kind of referral to the guy that rode around Paris a few years ago on a motorcycle at insanely high speeds filming it all. I think he was eventually killed by French police while trying to escape.Oh well.

Pretty close on that MFP1. That was the original Ghost Rider, Johnny Blaze. There is a 2nd incarnation a guy by the name of Dan Ketch. Kind of been wondering which Ghost Rider they were going to use in the script. More than likely Blaze's charachter, last I heard Nicholas Cage had the role (I just don't see him fitting the bill, eh who knows for sure till its made). Ghost RIder is actually the god of Vengence, he has the Power of the Penence Stare (Stan Lee must have smoked some tainted stuff when he thought of these powers) and Hell at his disposal. The Penence Stare gives back 1000x the suffering and anguish a person has caused another.

Yeah, that nut that went by the name Ghost Rider I do believe had been killed a few years back.

Oh, not Nicholas bloody Cage. Like Micheal Cain and Clint Eastwood, the guy can just play himself, occaisionally with more of a furrowed brow and all-round more troubled expression.

Tom thats pretty close to my opinion of Cage wanting the job. He can be an all right actor at times but when he's not good( Con Air and that fake as hell southern accect he has), he's absolutely terrible. I always think of one particular actor to play the job and he's an aussie but I can't think of his name for the life of me. He looks the part (has long reddish blonde hair, has a gruff but smooth character) to me he fits the Johny Blaze character. But, for the life of me I cannnot remember who he is or even remember a couple of the american flicks he has been in.

I have read some of the early script treatments and they seemed ok, a few things i didn't like about it and the way the story unfolds. They were early stages though; so as to with many scripts they change constantly and evolve usually into a decent story. David Goyer, who's been responsible for the Blade trilogy, Dark City and countless others has always delivered a good story. The thing that turns so many comic books into movies so bad has always been that the writers have never been fans of the original stories. They lose site of what the character is actually there for and what they stand for.
