Hey everbody, I'm new to the site and I'm putting together a "Max" costume and was wondering what I needed and where I can find it (online or stateside) Help of any sort is more than welcome.

Hi road warrior19,
Welcome. I'm not an expert when it comes to Max costuming, but I can tell you that there's a whole lot of choices out there as far as motorcycle gear goes and prices ranging from used bargains to outrageously expensive Japanese repro MFP gear. There's also bargains to be had online if you do enough looking. It depends a little on if you want an outfit that is exactly the same brands or exact reproductions of Max's or if you want to improvise with similar items at the local thrift shop or leather outlet. Accuracy is just a question of money. How accurate do you want to go?
Seriously though, for the best overview of Max costuming I would pay a visit to Karol Bartoszynski's madmaxcostumes.com. I don't think you'll find a better source of info out there. Good luck with it.

Thanks roadman. I checked out the MFP clothing site (damn their prices are high!!) and the madmaxcostumes site. It was very informative. I was wondering if I could impose upon an Aussie to buy me a couple of Bond's T-shirts like max wore and then ship them to me. Of course I would pay for the shirts and shipping. If there are any interested parties just post a reply and I will get back to you.

We should get a case of them shipped out here, and devide them up around to the die hard fans with a max costume.
A case of lt. blue, and a case of black please!!
