In the hospital, when the doctors are talking together about how Sprog was dead, they mentioned that Jessie was in critical condition, not likely to make it, but didn't actually say she had died.


Then we cut to Max going out in hot pursuit.


In effect, you really don't see her die.


Which raises the question, could she have pulled through?


In the trailer for the movie, the narrator says: they've broken his wife, they killed his child. Broken could mean anything.

No, I think they pulled the plug

Maybe they didn't. That's my point. It's ambiguous.

"In the roar of an engine he lost everything", or something like that.

And we see Max standing next to 2 crosses in MM2. Could be Goose & Sprog, But I think it's much more likely to be his family. Laid to rest in a secret place only Max knows.

"is she salvageable?" crons the Doctor..........


This is indicative of being a potential organ donor, prior to impending death. It looks like her arm is ripped off as well.

Yeah, but if she somehow pulled through...stranger things have happened.

Trust me, she did pass away. I don't believe Max would have really gone into the wasteland if she was still back home alive.


And the two crosses in the RW montage make it a done deal.

I suppose that it's possible for the following as well: She could have pulled through (f**k knows what state she'd be in if she did), but for the "hospital vouchers" thing mentioned in the memoranda earlier in the film. I think it's conceivable that Max's vouchers ran out, so she would have been taken off of life support there and then. After that it'd have been a case of ripping out the salvagable bits and bobs and slinging the broken chassis in the bin.





Wonder how much he got re-imbursed for her vital organs? Would have made an iteresting barter scene.
