The Mad Max Post-apocalyptic Fly

Post by Uncle Entity »

Beat me if this is not the greatest post of all the times.

Bubba claimed "No more pesky insects" in Max's world, due to radiation. Well, it's not TRUE!

The Post-Apocalyptic Fly is a cameo character which played a prominent role in EVERY MAD MAX MOVIE. Just let you teach:

1- During Max and Jesse's peace moment near the lake (when Max talked about his father) you can see the Post-Apocalyptic Fly flying towards the camera at the end of Max's speech.

2- At the beginning of the ROAD WARRIOR, when Max was watching Wez, waiting for a reaction (I don't remember if few moments after or before Wez would estract the arrow from the arm) ... well, you can see the Post-Apocalyptic Fly flying on Max's face (the eyes) for a brief moment!

3- When Max was saying to JEDEDIAH: "It will be", just few scenes before the collision with Ironbar's vehicle... you can see the Post-Apocalyptic Fly flying from Max's face to Jedediah... AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!

Don't you believe me? Check the sequences out!

And someone of the Thunderdome crew dared to say it was such a bad desert 'til the point no fly was in sight!

The fly is very prominent in the Max films. Just like the crow noises in the background of each film.

Flies are attracted to shiit. No wonder they're in BTD.

Don't disregard our beloved MAD MAX movies, since there is a fly for any of them. If it was meant being a silly offence, it failed. I mean, this is a MAD MAX board, maybe you're in the wrong place if the movies are sh*t for you.

Speaking about the thread theme (that's what really matters) Yeah, that fly is a mutant! It survived well.

http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001ImageWell, Mel and the fly (in Toecutter's face and later around Bubba) are the only "actors" from the first epos, back in the sequels. This Fly is very popular since its role in "Once Upon a Time in the West" by Leone.

the fly shows up in Road Warrior in the scene where gyro tryes to steel the can of dinky-di from Dog. I mean the post-apocaliptyc fly is the star of these movies, and it isn't even creditedImage, can you imagine that? ImageImageImage

Oh, I meant it. Sure did.

I don't think MM1 or MM2 are shiit, just MM3...an attempt to grab more money and turn MM into another wonderful Hollywood franchise. The first two movies are masterpieces. I hope the fourth rekindles this rawness.

It's my opinion. This is a forum. If you don't like it, bad luck.

Isn't it about time you quit again?

I had thought we'd decided that the nuclear exchange had occurred a short time AFTER MM1...

(And don't tell me it's in the books. So's Aunty's Thunderdome-Bat and the Monochrome Main Force cars) Image

*Still can't figure out why there would be active fallout particles more than a decade after the war...

These would decay to harmlessness within weeks.
