for byron

i have been wondering this since the first time i saw thunderdome, in the end when it says"for Byron" what does that mean, like who is byron. that may kinda sound mean but i wopuld really like it if somebody can fill me in.

For Byron Kennedy, the producer of Mad Max and Mad Max 2, and George Miller's partner in Kennedy Miller.

Byron was killed in a helicopter accident in 1983, before the making of Thunderdome.
