...a movie that was probably filmed late 60s early 70s where there was a car chase that seemingly went forever through a European town. They drove down steps, onto train platforms etc. (It's not The Italian Job).

In the end, once the baddie is cornered, the cop gets out, walks up to the car and says something like 'You know there is a speed limit in this town'.

Anyone?

I may know it. ;)

IF the two cars were a Fiat 124 sedan and an Opel Kadett from the early 70's, it was "The Burglars" with Omar Sharif.

Saw it once a loooong time ago on a late night movie. Remy Julienne was the stunt driver. It was also released in Europe under another title. I've looked for it on video and never found it.

DD.................i think you're right...found a little info. Can find the soundtrack on Ebay. Funny thing is, after going to 'Great Car Chases in Movies' sites, there's no mention of this flick. I thought it was an awesome chase sequence.
