If you are talking about MFP badges, this one just came up

If you just want anonymous car badges then go to a junkyard...doh!

Look at mustang and or ford parts sites. I have seen several offering repro badges and stickers. Several offer police stickers including "Police Interceptor" and "Ford Police Vehicles" These are for a Crown Victoria, but would look great in the window of a Black on Black.

Greetings. You could also shape what you wanted out of two different thicknesses of black ABS plastic. Use something like 1/8" for the wider base level, then use 1/16" for the top "brightwork." I use resinbond or the liquid glue in a bottle from a hobby shop when gluing ABS. If chrome, use the epoxy appliance paint, or color match the car. I've used automotive trim adhesive tape to adhere my letters back on in the past. Just an idea or two...

The eBay auction brings up a curious point. On the badge being sold it says "Maintain Right" but is that what is on the actual badges used in the movie,or did it say "Main Force Patrol" or something on that order?

The actual badges say have been determined to say "Maintain Right" on them by reviewing the new DVD that is out, and other various photographs.

I have heard a few people say that they can actually read the words "maintain right" just by pausing the DVD...... I have a 57" widescreen and have also had MANY freeze frames run thru an enhancing program on a computor and still cannot read these words. I can definately make out an "M" and an "F" on the black car as he's chasing Toecutter though. I'm not saying that 'maintain right' is incorrect as we all know this can be read on the jacket badges... I often wonder if the all the cars say "MFP" on one side and 'maintain right' on the other.

I will gladly forward the freeze frame I have that show's the 'MF' during the chase scene and would love to see some freeze frames for the 'maintain right'.

Hi Doug,

You can send me the frame you are talking about. I just don't see any reason why if the badge's were the same in shape and design, that the lettering would be different? MFP seems too short, and Main Force Patrol seems much too long. Maintain Right fits perfectly.
