to understand Namibia go to:

http://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/fac ... os/wa.html

with an average life expectancy of 38 years this sounds like the harshest place on the planet.

Another is Camaroon in North-Western Africa...home of the 2-step snake...get bitten, take 2 steps and fall down dead. An art teacher used to tell us stories about the country while we did our assignment. Africa in general sounds like a hard place.

30 - 40% unemployment rate!! Seems a good chunk of GDP comes from the mining industry there.

I could be funny to see some untypical animals for Australia, in Fury Road. Elephants, lions ...Image
I could probably make it on my own, but I like you kids.

Namibia is the most frightening red desert on the face of Earth. Have you never seen "THE SAND DEVIL" with Rober Burke ? Well, I did it. I own the VHS copy too.

Scary. Scary. Scary.

There are many roads who cross the desert itself. Australia is nothing compared to that hell. Granted.

THE SAND DEVIL? I hope you mean the movie with the alternate name DUST DEVIL, made by RICHARD STANLEY, dude who made HARDWARE. a few of us baught up these two movies a few months ago in the FAVOURITE SCIFI MOVIE THREAD.

If it is DUST DEVIL, sh*t yeah, that is one of the best damn movies, awesome, that kind of environment - highways you can barely see cause their covered in sand, literally in the middle if nowhere would be perfect for max to wander acoss.

Yeah, THE DUST DEVIL !!!!!!!!!!!!!! In italy it was re-named as "DEMONIACA". Robert Burke was great.

What a coincidence... I purchase the movie long time before they would have claimed the MM4 filming there!

I had to hunt that one down, saw HARDWARE in 92, and instantly wanted to see anything else by RICHARD STANLEY, when i heard of DUST DEVIL, i had to see it, but the damn thing never got an official release in Tassie, had to order it from QUEENSLAND, didn't get an official release over there either, found it tucked away in some commic shop.

MAD MAX fans should see it, it ain't got the vehicles, it ain't after world war 3, but once you see it, you'll know exactly why its for a ROAD WARRIOR fan.
