I really like mad max and the road warrior but i've never seen beyond thunderdome. for the most part, people tell me they dont like it. granted, they are not the biggest fans of the series, so i dont think i should go by their word. i just watched the trailer, and it looks pretty cool. i'll end up renting it eventually, but what does everyone think about it?

Opinions on T-Dome range from Fanatical love to fanatical hatred around here.
My PERSONAL opinion is that while it's my third favorite of the existing trilogy, it is VERY much worth at least a rental.
I'm pressed for time at the moment, so I can't elaborate, but I'll add more later..

yeah definently, see it, but i wish i haden't, it's definently not the best of the series.
it is a good movie though, but only as a seperate movie all together it doesn't belong in the MAD MAX TRILOGY, it shoulda been the part 1 in a seperate spin-off series.
but don't listen to anyone else cause there are alot of biased opinions on it here .you'll get people (one person in particular), going on about it's deep and profound plot etc. and you'll get others dismissing it altogether.
so just go see it dude, decide yourself, then get back to us.

NIRVANCOL,
You're beginning with the *WRONG* step if you really want to become a MAD MAX FAN. To be a MAD MAX FAN means to love your own hero (Max) to the point you make his *PHILOSOPHY* YOURS !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Max is a rebel, a "disinteressed rivolutionary man" who doesn't GIVE A sh*t to people or what people thinks... that's why he usually turn to be such a special "hero" for human race, without being an hero. He's not a sheep. He's a maverick without being a leader.
So you hear everyone else's opinion like it would be HOLY WORD?
No, man, no. Live your life.

FANS are people too. Just doesn't give a sh*t about what they usually say. RENT the movie and enjoy it as it would be the most natural thing in the world (it actually is), pushing out of your agenda any expectation or everyone else's judgements pressed in your mind...
...and you''ll LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
