Interceptor's Dash Board
At the start of MM2, during the chase scene, what are the objects that can be seen on Interceptor's dash board?

Interceptor's Dash Board
It's really hard to see, even on a widescreen version, when i was making my PLANET X INTERCEPTOR MODELS, i wanted the interior of part 2's to be as realistic as hell, and damned if i could make it out, looks like a white rag or something is stuck in the bit where the light used to be, but i still can't be sure.

Living in the north of England, I have visited the Cars of the Stars Museum in Keswick. The only reason was see the Interceptor. I noticed that hanging inside the driver's door was a belt of about 6 large bullets. These looked bigger than rifle bullets. I don't know if these are an original prop or were added later by the museum?

na as far as i can tell, when max gets out of the car to inspect the gyro copter, it's naging on the door, as well as a big bowie knife.

Hanging on the car door is a bandolier for .303 cartridges. Standard Australian issue from the Boer war and First World War.
Its been modified so that just the actual leather cartridge holders are there.
These things are useful and hold from memory 16 cartridges in each holder. theres a leather divider inside for two rows of 8.
So with 4 or 5 cartridge holders Max would have 80 odd .303 shells to hand.
They also hold shotgun shells.
Still commonly available as repros.
This of course does not answer the dash question.
trivia note: Max fires a .303 in MM3 while negotiating with the 'crack in the earth' kids.
